Park Original Characters

The Country Bear Jamboree was an opening day attraction at the Magic Kingdom. It is also one of the few Disney World original attractions that Walt Disney had seen concept art for. He famously saw concept art for some of the characters, laughed and then said goodbye, something he did not commonly do. He then passed away a few days later.

One of the most recognizable characters from this attraction is Big Al. He comes in towards the end of the show eternally off tune and singing songs that don't fit the rest of the show. The bears even try to silence him, but he just keeps singing.

He can be found daily wandering Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom. Some days he signs autographs while other days he just causes havoc.

Rarely he can be found in the World Showcase at Epcot completely unannounced with several other random characters.

At Disney California Adventure, despite the Country Bear Jamboree having been removed over a decade ago he still appears every holiday season in the Grizzly Peak area.
